Our community is built by the people in it. The Community Awards recognise individuals and groups who have made an outstanding contribution to life in Glamorgan Spring Bay — across volunteering, sport, the arts, education, environment and community service.

Who can nominate

• Any resident, ratepayer, business or organisation in the Glamorgan Spring Bay municipality
• You can nominate yourself — though most nominations are made by someone else
• You cannot nominate a current Glamorgan Spring Bay councillor or council employee for actions undertaken in their official role

How nominations are judged

Nominations are reviewed by a selection panel that considers:

• The depth and breadth of contribution to the community
• The impact the nominee or group has had
• How long the nominee has been giving back
• The strength of supporting statements from people who know the work first-hand
